Seattle and its surrounding areas boast an abundance of breathtaking landscapes, making it the perfect playground to take your engagement photos. From lush parks to towering mountain vistas, it can be hard to choose from all the amazing backdrops the area has to offer. Below you will find some of my favorite locations both near and far from the city!
Discovery Park
Just a short drive from downtown Seattle, Discovery Park is a true gem and just might be one of my favorite places to take engagement photos. The bluff overlooking the Puget Sound filled with trails and grass is a golden hour dream! Perfect if you're looking for a truly romantic vibe while still being immersed in nature.
Downtown Kirkland
Who knew taking downtown Kirkland engagement photos could give you such a variety of backdrops?! Just a short walk from the hustle of the city, you'll find a quiet garden sanctuary, wide open fields, and a marina all perfect for capturing your engagement photos.
Rattlesnake Lake
A little longer drive from the city, but it is so worth it! This is one of those locations that will look great despite the weather. True PNW vibes really come out when the weather decides to be moody, but it is also gorgeous on a sunny day as well!
Snoqualmie River
Just 20 minutes from Rattlesnake Lake is another great location to take your engagement photos. Mt. Si makes the perfect dramatic mountain backdrop, and the river is also gorgeous to take photos next to.
Gold Creek Pond
Nestled into the mountains near Snoqualmie Pass, Gold Creek Pond is a breathtaking setting for engagement photos. The serene water and epic mountain views make a gorgeous backdrop for a memorable photo experience.
Pioneer Square Studio
The perfect spot for a rainy day! Whether you're having a winter shoot, or just don't want to have to worry about the weather, having your engagement photos in a studio might be a good option for you!
Artist Point
This picture says it all. Although it's a bit of a drive from Seattle, Artist Point is simply stunning. It boasts a variety of backdrops that are all a short walk from the parking lot, allowing easy outfit changes and lots of photo opportunities.
Woodinville Park
A great local spot with open fields and trails. Perfect if you're looking for a quick getaway out of the city without making a big trek up to the mountains.
