Winter Engagement Shoot at Rattlesnake Lake

This winter engagement session at Rattlesnake Lake gave us the dreamiest golden hour light. Even though it was cold (like, really cold), these two were total troopers. We took lots of warm-up breaks, and I came prepared with a trusty hand warmer that I happily passed around between shots. Rattlesnake Lake is one of my favorite places to shoot, especially in the winter when the water is low, the stumps are exposed, and the light hits just right. There’s something so peaceful and cinematic about it. I love sessions like this that feel a little adventurous, full of connection, and totally true to the season.
